Curvy star defies critics who say they ‘didn’t realise fat women can do porn’

A plus size woman is challenging perceptions in the adult entertainment industry.

Gwen Adora, from Canada, revealed that many assume curvy ladies can’t make careers from producing sexy content.

The young woman spoke on Netflix documentary Money Shot: The Pornhub Story about reactions she receives as a voluptuous influencer.

She said: “The word ‘porn star’ or ‘sex worker’ doesn’t really associate with my body type for a lot of people.

“A lot of them generally are like ‘oh I didn’t realise fat women could do porn’.

“People assume that I’m in it the wrong reasons.

“They’re like ‘oh you’re doing something that’s, you know, taboo and underground and shouldn’t be talked about, but we’ll definitely j**k off to it’.”

Before she signed up to Pornhub as the site’s model, she was doing everything on her own.

She continued: “People automatically assume I’m doing mainstream porn just because that’s the immediate connection, that’s what people know the most of.

“But in reality, I’m just in my room by myself making little videos – just like a YouTuber, basically.

“I do it all, I basically do a whole media company’s jobs – all in one person, for myself.”

Gwen does her own makeup, as well as setting up her equipment for filming and editing the clips herself.

She added: “It’s a full-time job, which is great because not everyone has the same opportunities for mainstream porn – but anyone can do amateur.

“Pornhub was a site that I initially stayed away from, there was a lot of free videos that were stolen so I was on my smaller, niche websites.”

Gwen later learned about Modelhub, a sub-platform from Pornhub that she decided to join.

It allows content creators to sell videos and photos with the benefit of getting the traffic from the main site.
