This is likely to be because many are ditching nights out for evenings under the sheets.
According to an AO.com poll, 10% of people say they bonk more in the winter.
Research also showed that this number is higher among young people.
Numbers increase to 19% for 16 to 24 year olds, while 18% of 25 to 34 year olds also claim they have more sex during the colder months.
As September is the month popular birth month, these results aren’t surprising.
With Christmas and New Year a great time for proposals and baby-making, we can expect the nation to heat up even more in coming weeks.
Brits may also be having more sex as a stress reliever.
Silentnight’s sleep expert Dr Nerina Remlakhan said: “When people are feeling down, they seek a more loving connection, and also spend a lot more time in bed.”
