Jess said: “Sex stamina is often used to describe the length of time between penetration with a penis, and penile ejaculation.

“The average time it takes for penile ejaculation is five and a half minutes, but some people would like to increase that.

“Now, everyone’s time is a little different, and some people ejaculate faster, and some take longer.

“For those who want to boost their stamina, there are a few methods you can try. “

You can train yourself to last longer in some cases

The sexpert continued: “Stamina training (aka edging) is one way, where the individual masturbates almost all the way to climax but stops just before the point of no return, and allows their sexual response to calm down, before doing it again.

“This repetition can help mentally and physically train the individual and increase the amount of stimulation they can enjoy before they orgasm.

“This can be particularly useful if the individual has learned to come quickly (e.g. to reduce the risk of getting caught when they lived at home) and wants to undo the ‘be quick’ approach to pleasure.”

Jess also advised using toys to extend your stamina.

She explained: “C*ck rings can be a great way to boost stamina, especially for those who want a physical aid to postpone climax.

“By applying consistent pressure at the base of the penis the ring can help to quell a brooding eruption and delay it, as well as help to make the penis feel harder and look bigger.”

Finally, there are products which can keep you going longer by themselves.

Jess explained: “For those who find the head of their penis is very sensitive and would like to reduce sensitivity to play for longer, delay solutions (creams and sprays) can be a brilliant way to go.

“Delay solutions are usually applied topically to the head of the penis between 5 and 30 minutes before sexual contact and help to gently numb those super-sensitive nerve endings for longer-lasting pleasure.

“Always check the ingredients and instructions before using, as each solution contains slightly different numbing agents.”
